The Community Fun Day is an annual event held the first Saturday of August by Shiloh Temple of Faith Church located at 603 Green Street, Raeford North Carolina The purpose is to promote unity and create a festive occasion for neighbors to meet neighbors, allow the community to connect with local resource providers, and most of all have fun before the beginning of the new school year.

Working with Shiloh Temple of Faith Church and UPceed Community Development Center in Raeford, North Carolina, our goal is to encourage the growth and wellbeing of our neighbors in the Raeford Hoke County area. You can help us by answering a few questions to steer us in the right direction.

We would like to know what type of programs you would like to see emphasis placed on such as:

Mentoring and Leadership Programs

The mentoring and leadership program is designed to prepare our future leaders, scholars, business owners, and professionals to build and maintain productive lives as positive contributors to their communities and society. The mission of the Youth Leadership and Mentoring Program (YLMP) is to actively engage and nurture the up and coming generations in our communities into developing into future leaders focused on the betterment and advancement of tomorrow through the positive development of self esteem, self efficacy, honor, respect, and pride.

Career and Job Development Programs

Our Career Development program works in harmony with local employers and state services to assist local residents improve their skills. talents, and employability qualities in order to meet or exceed the needs of today’s employers. Young adults other interested in exploring different careers or changing careers will find our Career Development and Exploration Program beneficial. (CDEP). The mission of Career Development and Exploration Program (CDEP) is to introduce, encourage, and facilitate the exploitation of creating opportunities towards properly preparing and pursuing the many career paths available in our areas. As an example of CDEPs benefits, you can expect:

Employment recruiters
Assistance and resources securing employment and career advancement.

Community and Area Development Programs

Community development programs and services are geared towards focusing on building and improving the community’s collective value, growth and positive development to benefit all residents and stakeholders who are vested in the positive growth of Hoke county and the surrounding area. Programs and services such as:

Special Event Commemoration
Citizen Commemoration
Community Resource Center
Business Development Center
